MYAGDI, July 19: A woman of Malika Rural Municipality in Myagdi district has been accused of killing her husband with a spade on Tuesday.

Twenty-five-year old Ranjana GC attacked her husband Shiva GC, 34, at around 10 pm.

According to Area Police Office (APO), Darbang, the victim died on the spot.Ranjana reportedly attacked her husband following a dispute over a family matter. A team of five police personnel from the APO immediately reached the incident spot and arrested Ranjana after the locals informed the police about the crime.

According to the police, they will be carry further investigation into the issue. Police have taken the dead body to the district hospital for postmortem. A month ago, there was a similar incident in Devisthan of the same municipality where a woman had killed her husband using a sharp weapon. Family disputes, drinking and mental problems are found to be the root cause of such unfortunate incidents.
