KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Police have arrested a group of individuals engaged in selling black-marketed long-route bus tickets to people going to their hometown to celebrate Dashain festival. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office (KVTPO) has arrested those who illicitly collect more than the prescribed fare from various bus park areas.


Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the KVTPO Rabin Karki said that police have arrested three people on Monday. The suspects were arrested from New Bus Park, Koteshwar, and Gaushala areas. DSP Karki said that the police detained them after they were found to be involved in selling black-marketed bus tickets.

Furthermore, police in civil dress have been deployed in the bus park area to prevent the further sales of black-marketed bus tickets.
