Police arrest 46 at New Bus Park for harassing passengers

A joint team from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari and the New Bus Park Police Post arrested the 46 people on Wednesday evening for pulling passengers’ bags, harassing them and engaging in suspicious activities at the Gongabu-based New Bus Park.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Police have arrested 46 individuals for randomly pulling passengers’ bags and causing them trouble at the New Bus Park.



A joint team from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari and the New Bus Park Police Post arrested the 46 people on Wednesday evening for pulling passengers’ bags, harassing them and engaging in suspicious activities at the Gongabu-based New Bus Park.

According to the Kathmandu District Police Range, taxi drivers, hotel operators and hotel staff who were forcibly dragging bags and troubling passengers arriving in Kathmandu from various parts of the country have been arrested.


Police detained 46 such people today alone.


Police have stated that the campaign will continue.
