Police, Army meet in summit clash

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club's A team will vie for the title of the First CoAS Men's National Volleyball Tournament as both the teams won their semifinal matches on Thursday. The final will be played at the Army's court in Lagankhel, Lalitpur on Friday.

Police beat APF on 3-0 sets, while Army's A beat its B team on 3-1 sets. In the first semifinal, Police claimed first set by 25-16 and won the second set comfortably by 25-12.However, the third set was competitive as APF struggled till the last point. Police claimed the set by 26-24.

APF had collected three straight points to level the score on 24-24, however, Police became victorious.

Similarly, in another semifinal, Army's A claimed the first and second set by 25-18 and 25-20, however, Team B bounced back to claim the third set by 26-24. But Team A claimed the fourth set by 25-16 to set final match against Police.

Army's Team B and APF will vie for the third place on the same day.
