NPC ´A´ beat Eastern Region ´A´ 21-9, 21-10 while APF ´B´ defeated PLA 21-9, 21-10 in the quarterfinals.[break]
In the earlier matches played at Sitapur, NPC ´A´ toiled hard to beat APF ´A´ 23-21, 21-16, 15-12 for the quarterfinal spot. APF ´B´ saw off Central Region ´B´ 22-20, 21-14 to make it to the quarterfinals.
In the other pre-quarterfinals, Mid-western ´B´ had a tough match against Far-western ´A´, with the second set extending up to 39-38. Mid-western finally beat Far-western 23-21, 39-37, 18-16.
Likewise, Eastern Region ´B´ edged past Central Region ´A´ 14-21, 21-18, 15-23. Far-western ´B´ thrashed PLA 21-0 in another match. Western Region crushed NPC ´B´ 22-20, 21-11 while Eastern Region ´A´ crushed Far-western ´A´ 21-19, 25-27, 15-11 to qualify for the quarterfinal spot.
