KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Today, the High Court in Pokhara is scheduled to hold a hearing on actor Paul Shah’s case. Shah is currently imprisoned after being found guilty of sexually abusing a minor.
Paul's case, in which he has demanded to be acquitted, will be heard by the bench of High Court Judges Dilliraj Acharya and Sridhara Kumari Pudasaini.
SC to hear rape case against Paul Shah
Paul's lawyer Kamala Mohan Wagle said the hearing will be held today.
District Court Nawalpur cleared Paul of the charge of rape. But he has been sentenced to two and a half years of imprisonment for child sexual abuse.
Paul appealed to the High Court demanding his acquittal. Similarly, the Public Prosecutor's Office appealed claiming that Paul could not be acquitted in the case of rape.
