KATHMANDU, Dec 14: In the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Pokhara Avengers have set a target of 139 runs for Kathmandu Gurkhas. After losing the toss and batting first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Pokhara scored 138 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
For Pokhara, Raymond Reifer scored the highest with 41 runs. Dinesh Kharel made 38 runs, and Dilip Nath scored 27 runs.

Captain Kushal Bhurtel, however, could only score 7 runs. For Kathmandu, captain Karan KC and Rashid Khan both took the highest of three wickets each. Meanwhile, Gerhard Erasmus took one wicket. Both teams are struggling to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Today's match is the sixth game for both teams.
Both teams have won two matches and lost three. With 4 points each, they are in the 6th and 7th positions in the standings. Kathmandu Gurkhas is one place ahead of Pokhara Avengers.
