KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Pokhara Avengers defeated Biratnagar Kings in a super over in their first match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Thursday.
Biratnagar, who won the toss and decided to bat first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday, scored 139 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Earlier the match reached the super over after Pokhara Avengers, who entered the field with a target of 140 runs, lost 6 wickets to equalize the score of 139 runs in the 20 overs. West Indies player Raymon Reifer of Pokhara Avengers hit a six on the last ball of their batting innings to take the match to the super over.
In the super over of the match, Biratnagar Kings could score only five runs in six balls while chasing the target of 19 runs set by Pokhara Avengers.
