The deceased are Amrita Bohara, 15, and Sitala Bohara, 12, of Kupinde-7, Githachaur, said Kupinde sub-health post. Amrita died at her home while Sitala died while undergoing treatment at the health post. Both had brought the mushroom from jungle.
Meanwhile, three of their relatives have also taken ill after consuming wild mushroom and are being treated at the health post, said assistant health worker Hom Bahadur Chand.
According to locals, six persons in Kupinde village have died because of mushroom poisoning in the past month.
