According to a statement from Basundhara Man Pragya Pratishthan, the Basundhara Shree Award and Man Shree Award carry a purse of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
The organization decided to honor Thapa for his contribution to literary sector and Rakesh for his contribution toward enriching modern Nepali literature through his continuous and intensive research in the field of cultural essays.
