KATHMANDU, May 22: Top CPN-UML leaders held a meeting at Gokarna Forest Resort in the outskirts of Kathmandu Saturday afternoon.
The leaders involved in the meeting include Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal, General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel, secretaries Bishnu Poudel and Yuvraj Gyawali and Home Minister Bhim Rawal.[break]
The top leaders of the ruling party held the crucial meeting on finalizing the party´s stance on forging national consensus to end the ongoing political deadlock, extending the Constituent Assembly term that expires on May 28 and on formation of national unity government.
"It didn´t take any formal decision as it was just an informal gathering to discuss contemporary political issues," Poudel informed Republica about the meeting.
