The PM decided to hold the meeting after conferring with CA Chairman Subas Nembang on Tuesday. [break]
Nembang held a meeting with the prime minister Tuesday afternoon and suggested to him to resolve the ongoing dispute over implementation of the three-point agreement reached between the three parties last Friday night.
The political parties have been differing over the crux of the three-point agreement inked Friday midnight.
At the meeting, the CA chairman expressed concern over widening differences among the major parties and suggested that the PM resolve them at the earliest. In response, the PM said that he had taken the suggestion into consideration and was committed to resolving the differences through a meeting with the senior leaders.
"I met him as it has become urgent to prorogue the ongoing parliamentary session and call the budget session. I urged him that as head of government he should take initiative to end the crisis by talking to leaders from the major political parties," Nembang said.
According to him, the prime minister himself is serious over the matter.
"He informed me that he his holding a meeting with top leaders of the three parties and talking to them on implementing the three-point agreement." With controversy surrounding the incumbent government, there seems some confusion whether it will be able to bring the government´s policy and programs in time this year also.
The incumbent government and the previous cabinet headed by the Maoists did not hold pre-budget deliberations in parliament due to time constraints.
Meanwhile, the CA chairman has also called a meeting of all 25 political parties represented in the CA for Wednesday.
He said he has called the meeting to discuss the contentious issues and expedite the constitution-writing process in the coming days.
