KATHMANDU, March 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled hold yet another round of meeting with agitating Madhes-based parties today at 4pm.

Earlier on Tuesday, PM had asked Madhesi leaders to come up with common view on whether they want to put the constitution amendment bill on hold and go to the local level election or to move forward with the bill and participate in the election whatever result comes from the parliament.

Addressing the nation on Tuesday, PM also urged the Madhesi people to utilize the upcoming local level election as an opportunity to express their grievances and asked Madhes-based parties to take a 'responsible' decision rather than being guided by their whims.

On the other hand, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has decided not to participate in the election process without constitution amendment and not even register their parties at the Election Commission.

"PM has invited us for a meeting at Baluwatar. We have serious reservation on what he has been doing. He is trying to engage all political forces and extend his tenure," said Keshav Jha, the general secretary of National Madhes Socialist Party.

"He is playing a dangerous game on Madhes related issues. He's trying to create a clash not only between political forces but also between people in Madhes. Following his address to the nation, we are less hopeful that he'll address our demand of constitution amendment and hold a election," he added.
