KATHMANDU, Leader of main opposition party Nepali Congress Shekhar Koirala has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should immediately sack his IT consultant Asgar Ali as he has been dragged into controversy after his involvement in removing of news content from a Kathmandu based online news portal kathmandupress.com.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, leader Koirala expressed his serious objection to such an act by Shiran Technologies Pvt Ltd owned by Ali.

“This is a sheer violation of freedom of press and expression, therefore the PM should fire him at the earliest to help the concerned authority probe into the case and take stringent action against those involved.”
According to him, the government should take a necessary step as Shiran Technologies has already admitted its involvement in removing the news.
