Issuing a New Year greeting, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the year 2068 BS would be a decisive in the political history of Nepal. Stating that his party is sincere toward concluding the peace process and promulgating a pro-people constitution, he has appealed all political parties to act responsibly.
Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel in his greeting wished that the New Year give all the power to take the ongoing peace process to a logical end and promulgate a democratic constitution. He also wished peace and prosperity of all people in the country.
Issuing separate press statements, Rastriya Janashakti Party and Sadbhawana Party have also extended New Year greetings to all people living across the country. They have wished peace, prosperity and happiness for all people.
Meanwhile, US and UK embassies in Kathmandu have also extended their greetings on the occasion of Nepali New Year. The US Ambassador to Nepal Scott H DeLisi and UK Ambassador to Nepal John Tucknott have wished all Nepalis a happy and prosperous New Year.
