In his Facebook post on Sunday, Oli urged airline companies to maintain fares at the usual rates, due to the disruption of road transportation, which has left many relying on air travel for essential journeys.

"Continuous rains and landslides have disrupted road traffic, and even essential travel has been hampered. Complaints that air fares are more expensive than usual have been heard on social media. The airlines providing air services are requested to assist passengers by not charging higher fares and keeping prices at the same rates as before," Oli wrote, “The Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Tourism has also taken a special decision for air passengers and rescue flights. We all have to face the natural calamity that has befallen us together.”
