KATHMANDU, July 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has received the support of two-thirds of MPs in the House of Representatives.
Out of 275 members of the House of Representatives, 188 MPs voted in favor of the motion of confidence sought by Oli on Sunday. There were 74 votes against while one MP abstained from voting.
What next: Midterm elections or a full-term Oli govt?
On Sunday, 263 lawmakers were present in Parliament.
Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Janata Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and some independent MPs voted in favor of Prime Minister Oli.
