KATHMANDU, June 20: The much-awaited overpass built in Gwarko, Lalitpur, has finally been opened to the public. After more than four years of delays, the structure was formally inaugurated on Friday in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. SSP Nawaraj Adhikari, Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, cut the ribbon to mark the opening.
For thousands of commuters struggling daily with heavy traffic in the city, the overpass brings a long-awaited sense of relief. It is expected to ease the congestion for schoolchildren, office workers, and emergency services that frequently pass through the busy intersection.
