KATHMANDU, Oct. 5: A meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal is underway at the former’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The two chairmen are holding discussions on wide-ranging contemporary political issues including finalizing the party’s unification process at the district level, according to media expert to PM, Ramsharan Bajagain. General Secretary of the NCP Bishnu Paudel is also attending the meeting.

The meeting between Oli and Dahal comes at a time when the Oli-led government has come under fire from multiple quarters including the ruling NCP on several issues including Nirmala Panta’s rape and murder case.

This is the first meeting between the two chairmen since PM Oli returned home on Thursday after participating in the 73rd United Nations General Assembly held in New York.
