KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli congratulated Ek Narayan Aryal, who has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.

Prime Minister Oli has suggested that every official in each agency be made accountable for the work of their respective departments. He has also advised them to create a system to immediately listen to and resolve complaints and to make public hearings possible. Additionally, he recommended that every official create a social media page to provide details about their work.

He wrote, "The government only provides policy leadership, but effective implementation requires a significant role from the administrative staff. Governments are periodic, while the civil administration is the permanent government."

Prime Minister Oli also suggested that officials develop a system for promptly addressing and responding to issues such as why people have to stand in line for services like obtaining a driving license, visiting hospitals, getting citizenship, or passports, and why there are delays in development projects.

He wrote, "We have around 400,000 (civil servants, teachers, security personnel) national service employees across all sectors. Their success in performance leads to citizen satisfaction, progress in work, and the success of the country. I wish success in this endeavor. All employees are not just office workers; they are servants of the citizens. Best wishes for success in national service!"
