On the occasion, Prime Minister Nepal was welcomed by Manager of the Museum, Yu Yong Qi.
During the visit, the Prime Minister also acquired information related to various aspects of the museum.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on the occasion were his spouse Gayatri Nepal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sujata Koirala, Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, Minister for Energy Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Foreign Secretary Madan Bhattarai, Finance Secretary Rameshwar Khanal, Prime Minister´s foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai, Nepali Ambassador to China, Tanka Prasad Karki, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Qui Guo Hong and other officials.
The world renowned museum was opened to public in 1979 and has been listed in UNESCO World Heritage List.
Prior to his departure to Capital Beijing from here today, Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Famen Temple in Xian.
Later this evening in Beijing, Prime Minister Nepal will attend a reception hosted in his honour by Nepali Ambassador to China, Tanka Prasad Karki.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is currently on a six-day official visit to China.
