PM Nepal not to attend UN General Assembly

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will not attend the 65th session o f the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

According to Rajan Bhattarai, the foreign affairs advisor to PM, the decision was taken due to lingering internal political deadlock.[break]

PM Nepal was scheduled to leave for New York on September 17.
