PM Koirala and TMLP Chair Thakur hold telephone talks

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Chairman of the Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP), Mahantha Thakur, held telephone talks Tuesday evening.

They held talks regarding political scenario of the country and constitution writing.


On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala urged the party to sit for formal talks as solution of all political issues including constitution writing could be found out through talks, said PM's Press Coordinator, Prakash Adhikari.

Chairman Thakur responded that he received the letter sent by PM Koirala for formal talks and said that his party was positive for talks. The TMLP Chairman had returned Kathmandu from his home district in the Tarai on Tuesday.

Similarly, the Prime Minister had telephoned lawmaker of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Shivaji Yadav, on Tuesday evening and urged him to convey the message to Chairman of the Party, Upendra Yadav, that PM Koirala had urged him to sit for formal talks. The PM called Shivaji after he could not establish contact with Chairman Yadav. RSS
