KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed confidence that the unity declaration of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) will prove to be a milestone.
Addressing the NRNA International Committee Unity Declaration Programme at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today, she called on the NRNA to understand the interests and needs of non-resident Nepalis and to contribute to Nepal’s development and progress with a sense of national belonging wherever they may be.

PM Karki assured that the government will do its best to create an environment in which non-resident Nepalis can fully enjoy the rights and facilities guaranteed by the constitution and the law.
“Nepalis working abroad face many hardships. Success comes only after hard work. Nepalis living abroad have love for their country and their soil. Do whatever you can for your land,” said Prime Minister Karki.
Noting that significant damage occurred, including to national heritage, during the Gen Z movement, she said it was “as if stones were thrown into a calm pond,” and stressed the need for proper evaluation. “We expect your continued support and suggestions for the country’s interest and development.”
Prime Minister Karki emphasised that those who lose elections should allow the winners to work, while the losers should remain motivated, believing they will have another opportunity and responsibility in the future. She added that political parties, too, should learn from the unity demonstrated by the NRNA.
