PM Deuba to visit India from Aug 23

KATHMANDU, August 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will pay a state visit to India from August 23.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Monday, it has stated that PM Deuba will visit India at the cordial invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

This is the maiden foreign visit of PM Deuba since assuming the office on June 7.

The entourage of will comprise his spouse Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and other Ministers, Members of Parliament, Secretaries and other high-level officials of the Government of Nepal.

During his five days visit PM Deuba will call on Indian President, Vice-President, Prime Minister and other dignitaries. He is scheduled to interact with intellectual circle and business community in New Delhi during the visit, says the statement.

During the visit, PM Deuba will also visit Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar states of India. He will return home on 27 August.
