PM Deuba gives ultimatum to Dahal to finalize Maoist Center’s stand on MCC grant agreement by 3PM

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has given an ultimatum to CPN (Maoist Center) to formulate an institutional view on the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement.

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has given an ultimatum to CPN (Maoist Center) to formulate the party’s institutional view on the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement by today afternoon. 


In a meeting held on Friday morning, Prime Minister Deuba has asked the Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to formulate an institutional view on MCC by 3PM today.

Chairman Dahal has expressed his commitment to finalize a decision on the grant project after holding discussions with the party leaders today. The Maoist Center has been saying that his party would not vote in favor of the MCC grant agreement in parliament.
