KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The Jyapu Culture Development Trust is to offer a civic felicitation to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on December 26. The Trust handed over the invitation to the PM by visiting him at Baluwatar on Monday. 

The civic felicitation is going to be offered to PM Dahal amidst a function in Basantapur on December 26 on the occasion of the National Jyapu Day. 

Trust Vice-Chairperson, Santa Kumar Maharjan said the Trust is offering the civic felicitation to the Prime Minister for maintaining the good-governance, social justice and implementing the socialism-oriented democracy and federalism in practice as well as for his role to use the Nepal Sambat as the national calendar and to give recognition to the Nepalbhasha (Newari language) and the Tamang language in Bagmati Province. 

Receiving the invitation, PM Dahal expressed his commitment that the government would provide best possible support to uplift the culture, music, traditions and language of Jyapu society.
