KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has requested international community to confidently invest in Nepal as an environment for investment was being created in the country.

PM Dahal made this statement during a meeting with Dr Andrew Parmley, Lord Mayor of the City of London, who paid a courtesy call on him at the Prime Minister's office in Singha Durbar today. Parmley is currently on an official visit to Nepal.

PM Dahal requested the countries to make investment in hydropower and infrastructure constructions in Nepal, said PM Dahal's press advisor Govinda Acharya.

The meeting between PM Dahal and Parmley also centered on a variety of issues including 200 years old relations between Nepal and UK, Acharya said.

In return, Parmley drew the attention of PM Dahal to create an environment for investment in Nepal while praising Nepal's success in the promulgation of the constitution and peace process.

High level officials of Prime Minister Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and members of delegation led by Parmley and UK's ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris were present in the meeting. RSS
