KATHMANDU, May 6: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal have agreed to take immediate initiatives to end their bitterness occurred after UML’s pull out of the government. They also agreed to restore the politics of consensus within a few days, according to Dahal. “We agreed that there was no alternative to national consensus,” said Dahal. [break]
In an hour-long meeting held at Khanal’s resident in Chhauni, Khanal raised concern over the Maoists’ fury expressed in the parliament and in the street. “I raised concern over the Maoist cadres’ diktat to cadres of other political parties to leave the district in some districts like Ramechhap,” said Khanal.

“I found a sort of fury on Dahal,” said Khanal. "But prime minister is also equally worried about the possibility of obstruction in the ongoing peace process."
Khanal also said the video tape public by some media about Maoist strategy to capture power was regrettable.
