The meeting also endorsed the decision to extend the term of the technical committee under the Special Committee on Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist Combatants till mid-January. The technical committee´s term was expiring on September 15. [break]
At the meeting, it was also decided to award the Best Civil Service Award to 10 and Civil Service Award to 30 government employees.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Communications and government spokesperson Shankar Pokharel informed that the prime minister would not be attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
