Picasso’s paintings in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Arupan Art Gallery organized an exhibition of stickers, comprising the artworks of Pablo Picasso at its premises in Lazimpat from August 13. The exhibition prominently displays the paintings of Picasso created during the early 20 century.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Arupan Art Gallery organized an exhibition of stickers, comprising the artworks of Pablo Picasso at its premises in Lazimpat from August 13. The exhibition prominently displays the paintings of Picasso created during the early 20 century. 


According to Ramesh Khanal, founder of Arupan Art Gallery, he brought the stickers from California after visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. “When I visited the museum, I was searching for something, to bring back home, and I saw a shop nearby, selling stickers. So, I bought the stickers for an exhibit,” he said.

Spanish artist Pablo Picasso is believed to have introduced cubism in the world art scene around 1907. His innovation is regarded as a milestone in the development of modern art. 


The exhibition having 17 different artworks of Picasso in the form of stickers is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday.
