KATHMANDU, Aug 8: With a sharp increase in the cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Kathmandu Valley in recent days, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, decided to seal off Pyukha, New Road and Mahaboudha areas.
Following the government decision to lift the four-month long nationwide lockdown, a large number of people have been entering the Valley to resume their pre-lockdown activities.
The Kathmandu Valley reported 106 more COVID-19 cases on Friday alone.
