KATHMANDU, Sept 24: A petrol pump operator in Ekantakuna of Lalitpur District has been sent to Nakkhu Prison on the charge of cheating a customer on Wednesday.

Janak Raj Paudel, the operator of the petrol pump, was found guilty of cheating a customer by the District Administration Office, Lalitpur.
The DAO asked the operator to furnish a bail amount Rs 3 million, failing which he was sent to jail. According to Metropolitan Police Range Office, Jawalakhel, Paudel was sent to Nakkhu prison after he failed to pay the bail amount. A customer had accused Poudel of overcharging him, by forcing him to pay for 45 liters of petrol while only filling 35 litres.
