Pedestrian knocked down by truck

CHITWAN, Dec 5: A 50-year-old man has been struck down by a truck at Jaya Mangala in Chitwan district today morning, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police have identified the deceased as Raj Kumar Pariyar, a local of Jaya Mangala in the district.

According to the District Police Office, the truck (Na 2 Kha 4971) coming to Tandi from Ratnanagar-1 in the district hit Pariyar.

Police have arrested the truck driver and impounded his vehicle.

The body of Pariyar is being brought to the Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem. RSS
