Pedestrian killed in road accident

GAUSHALA, Jan 16: A pedestrian was killed when a tractor knocked him down at Hanumanchok, Gaushala Municipality-7 in Mahottari district today. The deceased is identified as 55-year-old Ram Briksha Bhagat of local Bharatpur VDC-4. 

The tractor (Ja 1 Ta 1959), carrying stones, was heading towards Gaushala Bazaar when it happened to hit Bhagat. Bhagat died on the spot. Bhagat's body has been taken to the District Hospital in Jaleshwar for a post-mortem. 

Police have arrested the tractor driver 36-year-old Jeetendra Chaudhary of Gaushala-11 and also impounded the tractor. RSS
