Paudel calls on Dahal

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Vice President of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Paudel met UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, at the latter’s residence in Nayabzaar on Saturday.



The duo discussed the ongoing peace process and the new constitution. [break]



It has been learnt that the leaders have agreed to call a meeting of NC and Maoist party to discuss contemporary political issues.



Meanwhile, Chairman of the Constituent Assembly and Speaker Subash Nembang was scheduled to meet Dahal at his residence at 11 am and is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at Singha Durbar, later during the day.



Nembang is expected to urge the leaders to be committed towards the ongoing peace process.
