NAWALPARASI, August 12: Transportation service has been halted as the road section at Bardaghat Municipality-4 in Nawalparasi of East-West Highway has been damaged due to the continuous rain since Friday morning.
One lane of the road section has been swept away due to the incessant rain which one kilometer far from Daunne. Due to the crack in the road, the vehicular movement has been halted and the passengers are stranded at the either side of the road, informed the local police unit of Bardaghat.
Following the heavy downpour since Friday morning, the landslide in the road section between Daunne and Dumkibaas has interrupted the transport service in the area.
Due to the continuous landslide in the area, the local authorities are not able to remove the debris from the road to resume the transport service.
