Pascoe meets Koirala

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, B. Lynn Pascoe met President of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala at the latter´s residence in Maharajgunj Saturday.



On the occasion, discussions were held on the present peace process, integration of the Maoist army combatants and post UNMIN´s exit situation.[break]



In the meeting, Pascoe said that he is more optimistic about the success peace process now, Congress leader Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat told journalists after the meeting.



Mahat said that Pascoe´s main concern is whether or not Nepal´s peace process will move ahead after the UNMIN leaves and stressed for forging consensus regarding army integration.
