KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Rastriya Janamorcha Vice-Chairperson Durga Poudel has said that the five-party alliance should be continued as the country still faces the danger of regression.

Addressing the inaugural program of the 8th General Convention of the CPN (Maoist Center) on Sunday, Vice-Chairperson Poudel said that the House of Representatives, which was dissolved twice, was still in a state of stalemate and the threat of regression should not be underestimated.

She mentioned the need to unite political parties that fought against regression in the past. She said that if the anti-regression forces could not unite and move forward, the country would move toward regression again and the political parties would be at fault.

Similarly, Poudel also said that a decision on maintaining the alliance should be taken by the general convention. She also expressed confidence that the general convention would take a decision to dismiss the MCC as well.
