KATHMANDU, Aug 23: The parties have agreed on two points to end the deadlock in parliament.


Leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Janata Samajwadi Party were present at the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister, Singha Durbar. According to one of the leaders who participated in the meeting, the draft of a two-point deal has been prepared. It will be officially signed shortly.

The UML has been obstructing the parliament meeting since July 26, demanding the formation of a high-level commission to probe gold smuggling. The next meeting of parliament has been called for 3 PM today.
