Parties open to discussions on federalism: PM

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Thursday said political parties are open to discussions on issues of federalism.

Hinting toward protests in different parts of the country against the 6-province model, PM Koirala addressing the meeting of parliament, requested all to sort out differences through negotiations.

On the occasion, PM Koirala urged the agitating sides to end protest and seek solution through talks and further requested all to assist in constitution writing.

“We all are committed to rectify errors if any on federalism,” he said, “All the achievements will perish if we resort to agitation again and the existence of the country will be in doubt in such situation.”
