Although it was indicated that the NC would lead the Sudurpaschim government, the decision on who will become the CM is still not finalized. There is ongoing competition among Provincial Assembly members for the Chief Minister position.
Former CM and Parliamentary Party Leader Kamal Bahadur Shah, former Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Prakash Deuba, and Provincial Assembly Member Bahadur Singh Thapa are in the race for the Chief Minister role.
The NC has stated that it will finalize the CM position through consensus and aims to complete the government formation as soon as possible.
