Partial solar eclipse taking place today

KATHMANDU, Oct 25: According to the Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Bikash Samiti, there will be a partial solar eclipse today on the day of Kartik Krishna Aunsi.

The eclipse will touch down at 4:52 PM. Surya Prasad Dhungel, the member secretary of the committee, said that the sunset will be at 5:24 PM after 32 minutes of the eclipse. He said that the eclipse will be visible from Nepal for about 32 minutes. Although it will not be visible from Nepal after that, the eclipse will withdraw at 7:30 PM.

It is considered auspicious to perform rituals such as bathing, charity, chanting, meditation during eclipse.
