Parsa police arrest 195 fugitives in a single day

Authorities had faced criticism for not actively pursuing convicts, allowing many to roam freely. However, with renewed focus on enforcing court verdicts, police managed to apprehend all 195 individuals in one coordinated effort.

PARSA, May 16: In a major operation, Parsa police arrested 195 fugitives in a single day on Thursday. According to Parsa Police Chief SP Gautam Mishra, those arrested had been convicted by the court in various criminal cases but had remained at large.


Authorities had faced criticism for not actively pursuing convicts, allowing many to roam freely. However, with renewed focus on enforcing court verdicts, police managed to apprehend all 195 individuals in one coordinated effort.

In the past three months, Parsa police have arrested a total of 785 individuals involved in various criminal activities. The police have also seized goods worth approximately Rs 130 million in tax evasion cases.
