Parliamentary committee instructs govt to distribute relief through one-door system

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The National Concern and Coordination Committee under the National Assembly has directed the government to distribute relief materials to the people affected by the Jajarkot earthquake that took place on Friday night through a one-door system.

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The National Concern and Coordination Committee under the National Assembly has directed the government to distribute relief materials to the people affected by the Jajarkot earthquake that took place on Friday night through a one-door system.


While expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property in the tragedy, a meeting of the Committee on Sunday instructed the government to effectively work in the rescue and relief distribution.

"The Committee directs the arrangement of rescue efforts and treatment, relief distribution and rehabilitation of those affected by the quake, and the joining hands for the prompt reconstruction work by making a proper action plan," reads a statement issued by the Committee.


The meeting chaired by the Committee President Dil Kumari Rawal also decided to inspect an organic agriculture project running at Danchhi in Kathmandu.
