Parliament postponed after passing condolence motions

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: The meeting of Legislature-Parliament on Sunday has been put off till Friday after endorsing condolence motions.

The meet was postponed after passing motions on demise of former lawmakers Nar Bahdur Thapa and Ram Charan Chaudhary.   


Thapa was elected as parliamentarian from Kathmandu-2 in election held in 1958 and ex-minister Chaudhary of UCPN (Maoist) from Bardiya-4 during first Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.

The next meeting of the parliament will begin process for electing new prime minister.
