PARBAT, July 17: The Parbat-Baglung section of the Mid-hill Highway has been obstructed due to landslides triggered by continuous rainfall. Landslides that took place at Sahasradhara-1 of Kushma Municipality have obstructed the road section since last night.
Though machines and security personnel are on stand-by to clear the debris and open the road for traffic, incessant rain in the region has made it difficult to act immediately, said chief of the Traffic Police Office, Parbat, Krishna Khadka.
As a result, vehicles that had left Baglung, Myagdi and Mustang for various destinations remain stranded along with their passengers in the Maldhunga section of the highway.
