Panel to study possibility of SAG in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) formed a nine-member committee on Sunday to study the possibility of organizing the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal. Former general-secretary of NOC Bishnu Gopal Shrestha heads the committee.



According to NOC General Secretary Jiwan Ram Shrestha, the committee has been given a 45-day deadline to submit its report. [break]



Meanwhile, Ministry of Youth and Sports has also formed a separate task force for the same purpose. "We have formed a separate committee to help and suggest the government," said Jiwan Ram Shrestha.



Nepal had hosted the first and eighth editions of the regional games in 1984 and 1999.
