There isn’t anything in this world that some pampering can’t take care of. A relaxing bath and a quiet evening are sometimes all it takes to loosen the knots of weariness that comes with tackling everyday life. But should you wish for more, to shed the fatigue of hectic days, months, or even a lifetime, a right spa may just be the place you need to head to. Here are three spas in Kathmandu that we think will be able to help you relax and rejuvenate.
Nestled on the fifth floor of the Metro Park Building that is located in the busy streets of Lazimpat is a fitness hub that goes by the name Wellness Organic Club. Launched more than four years ago in May 2014, Wellness Organic Club (WOC) labels itself to be a luxury fitness center. It is built in a space of 15,000 square feet on the topmost floor of the Metro Park Building and boasts scenic and beautiful view of the capital that can be seen from the multiple wide terraces within its premise. It is open from six in the morning till 10 at night every single day of the week.
With almost 250,000 likes on its Facebook page, WOC is considered to be one of the most popular spa, fitness center and organic food destination in Kathmandu. The manager of WOC, Ipsit Pant, claims that hundreds of people visit the club every single day. WOC has an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 on its Facebook page (rated by over 300 individuals) and an average rating of 4.0 out of 5 on its Trip Advisor page (rated by 30 individuals). These reviews mostly address the good (organic) food available, top-notch spa and sauna services, good ambience (of the whole club), hospitable staff and the well-equipped gymnasium at WOC.

For the operation of their spa and sauna facilities alone, WOC uses more than fifteen different treatment rooms. Pant claims that the club can cater to every one of your spa and sauna needs including massages, facials, body treatments, waxing, manicures and pedicures, and aromatherapy. The most popular of these (among their customers) is the Full Body Swedish or Relaxation Massage that lasts an hour and costs Rs 1650. The same massage can also be enjoyed with sauna, steam, and Jacuzzi at Rs 2649 for an hour. The Fruit Facial is another popular treatment that’s priced at Rs 1055.
The steam, sauna and Jacuzzi areas and all of their shower rooms are gender segregated and private. Additionally, all of their changing rooms are also private and comfortable and have safety lockers where you can store all your belongings while at the club. Shampoo, fresh and clean towels, and body soap are also provided by the club should you choose to shower there after a workout session.
Besides their sauna and spa facilities, WOC also have a fitness center and an organic restaurant. Their fitness programs are mostly known for cardio and strength training. Skilled instructors and trainers are present at the gym throughout the day. The gym membership fee is Rs 15,000 per month but it is reduced to Rs 70,000 if you opt for a year-long membership.
The organic restaurant is where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is freshly prepared and thus you can be assured it’s healthy. The ingredients required for the preparation of the food are all brought from multiple self-owned organic farms.
We recommend you check out their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for the latest updates on deals and events at the club.
