Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H. Hashmi underscored the importance of such events in deepening mutual understanding and friendship. He said Nepalese students who studied in Pakistan were able to experience the country’s culture, hospitality and cuisine firsthand—memories that continue to strengthen people-to-people ties between Nepal and Pakistan.

Ambassador Hashmi highlighted that more than 4,000 Nepalese graduates of Pakistani institutions are contributing to Nepal’s development across key sectors and are also active members of the Nepali diaspora worldwide.

Alumni expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s expanded engagement and reiterated their commitment to enhancing cultural, educational, and people-to-people relations between the two countries. They also stressed the growing need for education and training in emerging fields such as information technology, artificial intelligence, medical innovation, and other priority disciplines, pledging their support to strengthen cooperation in these areas.
